Sooooo relatable! I can be consumed by anything, a video game, decorating a room, design, learning a new skill, etc. When something has me, it HAS me, usually at the detriment of things that need my attention more.
Im currently working on how to prioritize the habits that will take me where I say I want to be (financially, career wise, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc), while meeting myself where I am. Forcing myself into habits never works, but deliberately and methodically shifting habits based on what is possible in the moment, seems to create a more consistent and sustainable life.
In order for this to work I, of course, have to know myself and be real with myself. It’s going well at the moment. Far from perfect, but that’s not the expectation.

The love of “something” will always take precedence in your life. Learning to prioritize what’s most important is always key.
