When in Doubt, Zoom Out!
Hey Friends
This week has been crazy, I hope you all are leaving well and treating yourself right.
Back in Action
Having Covid and coming back into my usual workflow really made me realize how overworked I was. Sometimes I think I am immune to burnout and others exaggerate but all it takes is a little reset to make you realize how unsustainable that workflow can be. I had another busy week this week but tried my best to stop working around 5pm each day and prioritize some rest for myself.
I am in a weird place right now with my freelance work where there are too many clients coming in and not enough time to take on the projects. This feeling is so range considering earlier this year I went on a 45-day drought WITHOUT A SINGE PROJECT. Design really is on some feast or famine shit. I am grateful though and doing my best to spread it all out and keep it moving.
In Front of the camera
So I can't talk too much about it.. Yet, but I just wrapped on set (at the time of writing this) for a project I am a part of. It felt so weird to be in front of the camera and not working on the production or design world of things. They treat you really well when you are "talent" (lol even saying that word felt weird.)
It seems that all my rambling on Instagram, Youtube and the podcast is starting to pay off and big companies actually care about what I have to offer. So a big THANK YOU to all of you who support me and send me kind words on social media. I know it sounds cheesy but the community really does have such a big impact on me. Seeing y'all respond to my artwork, cool opportunities I get and sharing your own stories with me help me Keep it Moving. Life is crazy sometimes and If I could see myself now when I was struggling in college eating pasta every night, watching anime, and hanging out with my friends drinking Busch I would be so proud. Remember to take time and reflect on how far you've come, it can be easy to get stuck in the day-to-day.
Stuff I currently like and stuff I'm looking forward to!
