Cant believe 2024 is almost coming to an end. This year has been one of the most stressful YET amazing years of my life.
What a fucking ride, in both my personal endeavors and my design career.
I hope all of you who read this had a great year as well and if not.. Don’t worry 2025 is right around the corner and is the perfect chance to start fresh
KEEP IT MOVING
To end the year I wanted to share with you all my favorite stuff from 2024 in a few different categories.
2024 FAV
Font: ITC MACHINE
Has slowly become one of my go to fonts. It is so basic, amazing, and straightforward. Who knew i would be slapping the Predator font over everything in 2024.
Album: Only One Mode - SPEED
This was a hard one to choose from but out of the album that ACTUALLY Released in 2024 this had to be my fav. Seeing them live twice this year most def added to the experience of it all as well.
Design I made: Devil Made Me
I loved how the type and colors turned out on this one and evidently, so did all of you, thank you for all the love and support always. Shotout to this Waylon Jennings album for the inspo
Movie: Iron Claw
I’m pretty sure this movie came out in 2024?? I remember seeing it sometime in Janurary at my Local AMC. I don’t think i got that close to crying that many different times in any movie recently. I already knew how sad the story of this family was, but the actors were so good that it was def an emotional rollercoaster.
Show: Dragonball Daima
This is a recent one but I am watching it on Hulu right now and have been living every episode. It feels like a return to the OG Dragonball days in the best way possible. Rest in Peace to Akira Toriyama, thank you for leaving us with this amazing piece of art.
Video I made: I Chased My Dreams and it actually worked
I loved making this video. I got more vulnerable than I ever imagined I would on the internet and I am still amazed that I had the opportunity to stay at a castle in fucking FRANCE! If ya haven’t checked it out, I would love for you to do so, def offers some heavy lore on your boy.
Concert: Fury, Magnitude, and Field of Flames
3 amazing bands and all on one lineup over at Chain Reaction in Anaheim. I had never heard FoF at this point but once I saw them open up they instantly became one of my favorites this year.
Game: Deadlock
What an amazing game that equally pissess me off and is yet so rewarding. Even my steam wrapped knew that I played this game way too much lol
Design Resource: Are.na
I don’t know where i would be without my Are.na moodboards. I feel in love with organizing stuff on this site and made a goal to keep them all private. (gotta gatekeep something just for myself right??) It feels nice to have my own little vaulty of resources, inspiration, tools and whatever else i’m into at the moment. I highly recommend using the site.
