stumbling upon cool graphic design

Today I want to chat about something I really like…

Cool design out in the wild

I am 100% that cliche designer archetype who points out design stuff to my girl or my homies whenever we are out.

Everything from cool little mascots, good (or bad) kerning, and def color combos

I mean look at this BuzzBall, it is basically using my color scheme lol

I think being obsessed with design and especially typography I can’t help but notice it all around me.

The good, the bad, and the ugly, I love it all.

My tastes have def changed too, The stuff my college pretentious mind would have roasted can turn out to be some of my favorite traits a unique design might have these days.

Every time I stumble upon some piece of graphic design that really elicits a feeling inside of me. (Wait that sounds too intense lol)

Anyway, I snap a photo of it.

I sorted through some of it this morning and wanted to share em with y’all.

So below is a collection of cool design stuff I’ve stumbled upon and a few words about each thing.

love the bubbly type and the colors so much. The shine adds a playfulness that i really enjoy as well.

i mean cmon, idk what keystone colorado is but the ink bleed on that san serif! Obviously that logo is insane too, i love these geometric blue collar type logo just printed on whatever. So good big or small.

peak design system. They use the little faces in such a playful and fun way. My old self would have thought this was corny, but i think it is exactly what this type of design should be.

beautiful colors and beautiful typography. Nothing more to say.

love the colors and that little sun logo is so badass. I am a big fan of this bright saturated red on a muted cream BG like that.

I mean cmon, how dope is that “M I L K”. I love how quirky this whole sign layout and type choices are.

one of my fav designs from Trader Joe’s. I’m always a big fan of heavy typographic designs. This one fills the space greater and still can appeal to a normal buyer not just a graphic design nerd.

snapped this one on the quickness while driving. I’m always a big fan of orange so that’s a given, but i really loved this decorative swash-y letter “C”

I mean this little guy just rules. Something about these old mono-color mascots printed on various types of paper like this is so appealing.
