Hey friends
I hope you all are doing well and make sure to check on us SoCal homies who can barely survive the few inches of rain we get a year lol.
This kind of thing always seems to happen
So this past weekend and upcoming week it has been raining a bit in California. This really ain’t a big deal and honestly, it’s a nice change of pace.
but…
It never fails to rain the 2-3 times a year on the exact dates when I have to go do shit outside lol.
This upcoming week I got the amazing opportunity to go to this Creator Camp thing up in Norcal.
I try to be frugal and whatnot, so I decided I would bust the mission (7-hour drive) up there instead of flying.
Seems easy enough right??
Well, I was packing up this weekend and getting ready to go and realize now I have to do that entire drive in the rain. It will also be raining while were are outside in the redwoods most of the week.
I ain’t trying to complain too much, just thought it was funny that it only seems to rain when I don’t want it to.
Overall though, I think the trip will be really fun. I am excited to connect with other designers, artists, filmmakers and whatever other types of creators are there.
I love chopping it up and collaborating with other designers but I think it’s nice to mix in with other types of creatives. We all have so much to learn from each other and I feel like I am going to leave this week with some amazing insight and memories.
It’s wild honestly even getting the opportunity to hang out/be invited to a trip with all these top creators in their niches.
I remember vividly feeling very on the outside looking in, within the creator world even just a year ago and I’m pretty proud of how far I’ve come along since then.
THE GRIND IS STARTING TO PAY OFF.
I am excited to share stuff with y’all when I get back from this trip!
WFH Rain Flow
On the flip side, the one thing I love about the rain is the vibes it brings when working from home.
I love hearing the rain and having that soft overcast light shine into my home studio when I’m working. I’m so grateful to have the privilege of working from home and just getting to enjoy the rain from outside my window and not having to commute to an office in it or anything like that.
There is something about those rainy days (maybe because they are so rare here) that brings a whole different type of energy to the workday.
The music sounds better, the light is gloomy in just the right way and i feel very productive since there isn’t that distraction of wanting to go outside.
Listen to this for the ultimate rain workflow experience haha
I was working on this rotting-out design when it was raining and idk this one just came out with a little extra oomph.
This one was special too cuz I have been seeing this band live and listening to them for over 10 years now!
I also wanted to share a little sneak peek with you all of the next design that I am collaborating on with a fellow designer and hardcore enthusiast haha
That’s it for now, I hope you all have had a great weekend and I wish you the best in this upcoming week!
Much love, Glue 🧡

It’s not wild at all! You deserve it for sure. Can’t wait to get on the WFH life man. I feel you too rain and chilling brings just a vibe. Idk if I can say nostalgia but a moment in time. Anyways enjoy the drive/trip and be safe yo! Excited to hear how it goes for you!
