If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all.
Hey Friends
Hope you all are well. This week was a good one and I'm excited to share some exciting moments with y'all.
T-Shirt Finally For Sale!
So stoked to finally release a t-shirt. I have had countless people ask me for t-shirts, cuz I get it not everyone wants to buy prints so here ya go! You can buy it now HERE, shout-out to Rawpaw for making this happen. Pre orders are now live until March 15th. I haven’t made an actual physical t-shirt since my old clothing brand Depravity way back in high school (the OGs know). Hope you all enjoy it and much love to anyone who supports me.

Jeen Yuhs
Whatever you think about Kanye nowadays, part 1 of the Jeen yuhs doc was so inspiring. To see someone with that much radical belief in themselves even when no one did is amazing. I think there is a fine line between being a narcissist and believing in yourself, however, I think creatives often fall into the idea of not being confident enough. I think in 2022 I’m going to focus on being more confident and try to throw that imposter syndrome shit out the window. We don’t gotta go as far as Kanye has now and call ourselves “God” however a little more confidence In yourself can go a long way. Act like you are supposed to be where you want to be. Also shoutout to Works Studio and my boy Roy Cranston for killing it on the Jeen-Yuhs Design

Staying Busy
So up until last week, I hadn’t had an official client project since sometime in late December. This was a pretty scary feeling, for a second I thought we’ll I guess my luck ran out, I was only able to freelance for 8 months. Once again though without fail, right when I’m at that point.. Boom a client comes strolling along. Freelance can really feel like feast or famine sometimes and it’s so important to stay busy and confident during those low points. Even though I haven’t had a project in over a month I consistently fill my schedule with personal design work, youtube, podcasts, making prints etc. I think it’s crucial to find something to work on even if it’s just for yourself. Yes, it's okay to take breaks but don’t get complacent. Having stuff to work on and staying creative helps me get my mind off an otherwise grim reality of no client work. This may not work for everyone but just some thoughts for y’all.
Glow On!
Thursday I finally saw Turnstile in concert and I had so much fun. Haven’t been in a nice little mosh pit since before covid and I needed that. The feeling of seeing live music or doing something you love in person is beautiful. Time kinda stops, you don’t check your phone, you aren’t worried about work or school and you just enjoy it. As creatives, it’s so easy to get hyper-focused on goals, work, or social media success that we don’t take time to stop and smell the roses. I’m feeling refreshed and excited to do more nonwork things when the timings are right. I hope you all do something fun or something nice just for yourself this week.
Stuff I currently like and stuff I'm looking forward to!
