Human First, Designer Second
Hey Friends
Hope you all have been doing well this week. I had a much more chill week and have had some time to reflect on things. Well, when I'm not playing the new Forza game at least haha.
Multi-Faceted Human
Earlier this week I posted a reel of me making coffee on Instagram. I love making pour-over coffee and it's something that grounds me with a routine in the morning (pun kinda intended). I was hesitant at first to post because Sometimes I feel like as a designer we aren't allowed to be human. We are social media machines created to pump out "content" masked as graphic design. At the end of the day though we all have other interests and I encourage you to explore more hobbies and avenues you can post about online. Your true fans will engage with you anyway and the ones that get mad.. well fuck em.
Analog + Prints
Lately, I have been experimenting with a lot more analog techniques in my work. Shoutout to Obby for a cool reel on transparent paper printing. This technique has inspired me the past week greatly. It feels so nice to do things that are haptic and not be so "in the box" all the time working with photoshop or illustrator. Also, the print giveaway ended this week, thank you so much to everyone who entered. If you didn't win you can always still check out some prints on my store.
Inspiration to Friends
This past week I chatted with my buddies Dan Barkle and Harry Vincent on the podcast. It was an amazing chat and I can't wait to release the episode. We actually talked for almost 2 hours! This podcast got me thinking about how cool it is to meet people you look up to in the design community. If you would have told me 2 years ago I would be friends with Dan and Harry casually chopping it up I would have never believed you. It is amazing how organically relationships like that can blossom. Anyway, that episode will be out soon and it is actually the 1 year anniversary of The Jesse Nyberg Podcast.
Stuff I currently like and stuff I'm looking forward to!

Closing Thoughts
Thanks for all the love as always. I recently have had some awesome support with people buying prints and signing up for my Patreon. This money helped me pay a nice little chunk on my student loans and I'm very grateful. I hope you all have an amazing week and always do your best!
Much Love, Glue.
