Hey friends

I have been listening to a lot of music lately and it got me thinking about the beauty of good design within the music industry.

Hardcore is crushin’ it

Out of the many genres I love listening to punk and hardcore is up there with the best of them.

Unlike some of my other favorite genres though, hardcore does not cheap out on the visual design aspect.

I think the hardcore scene has the best graphic design out in the game right now. From merch design to full fledge album layouts.

I think the punk DIY scene has always had a beautiful and complicated relationship with the visual side of things.

From Xerox-printed flyers to beautiful LP designs if there is one thing that has remained true is the art is authentic.

I know so many talented designers these days who are creating awesome visual assets for the hardcore scene. I don’t have much to say other than how appreciative I am for such an awesome genre of music to also represent that passion and love on the visual side of things.
