Hope you are doing well and staying cool. It’s been so hot out here in LA so RIP my electricity bill

Designer friends in the wild

This past Friday the homie ram or as you may know him “oversettext” came back from his traveling world tour to visit even more designers.

But this time on my home turf… LA

Coincidently enough another online design friend Piper was in town and Foiegraphics so we all decided to hang.

We ended up going to this cute little bar called Waltz that has pinball machines, hotdogs, and very decent beer.

Lately in my life, I have been trying to curb my workaholic tendencies and hang out with friends more. That is all fun and I love it but there’s something special about hanging/meeting with online design homies. 

Who else can you talk about fonts, AI, and textures with for 2-3 hours lol

The past few years I built such a community of dope designers online and it’s almost like we are these virtual co-workers. So getting to interact in the real world is a nice little treat

I think creatives (especially those who WFH) can get a little isolated and maybe feel they don’t have people to relate to. So in my experience try and reach out to some of your online friends and get together.

Special shoutout to Ram for always trying to bring everyone together.

In the future I def wanna link up with some more of my mutuals in the design world, so if you’re in LA or visiting don’t hesitate to reach out.

I think I should finally be doing some traveling to Europe next year also and def have some people on that list I need to visit.

We’re all in this together, so let’s embrace that a little more.
